Male Rape, the Real Prisoner’s Dilemma: An Editorial By N. Gregory Mankiw: The Prisoner’s Dilemma is the most commonly taught game in intro-level microeconomics courses, yet, ironically, it is almost always explained incorrectly. It is often misapplied to two criminals who are apprehended while robbing a bank, but it actually refers to a rape that occurs between two inmates in a maximum-security prison.
